Building History OnLine

This section makes available what an historian needs to start his work using the potential of ICT and of the Web, that is primary and secondary sources and the instruments to use them.

In the Building History On Line Section you can find  digital libraries, a  wide bibliography, a comprehensive webliography and digital archives together with specific research engines collecting and making available many kind of  historical sources as books, textbooks, laws and regulations, images and pictures related to the history of the education.

 

Classics of Education

In this section you can read more than 150 classics that characterised the history of education and of the culture in Europe, collected in a unique e-library and provided in a easy to access digitalised version. The Database of the Classics of the education offers also all the archive information about each book.

 

Digital Archives

Archives are an important tool for historical researches, giving to the historians a large harvest of documents and information for quantitative and qualitative enquiries. In the Digital Archives  Section the user can find archives concerning different sources (e.g. School Textbooks, Photos, Laws and Regulations etc.).

 

Bibliography

References to historical knowledge are an essential tool for historians in order to start their researches. By browsing the HOL Bibliography, the user can find out the books, the reviews and the articles that are related with the subject he is interested in.

 

Webliography

The Web is becoming a fundemental reference for spreading and sharing historical knowledge and many websites are essential tools for starting historical researches. By browsing the HOL Webliography, the user can find out  the websites related to the subject he is interested in.
