Many of these centres have started to digitise their items of part of them and to upload them into their portals. Furthermore, the location of the hard copies of these books can be found through the consultation of large data bases which already exist in various countries.

SPAIN
- MANES. It includes manuals of Spain, Portugal, Belgium, and Latin America. Its origin lays in the MANES Research Project (now Research Centre) located in the Department of History of Education and Comparative Education of the National University of Distance Education, in Madrid.

ITALY
- EDISCO. It includes Italian school manuals since 1800 until the present. It was created in the Department of Educational Sciences of the University of Torino.

BRASIL
- LIVRES. It origin lays in the agreement of cooperation between the Faculty of Education of the University of Sao Paulo and the National Institute of Pedagogical Research (Institut National de Recherche Pédagogique –INRP) with the objective of cataloguing the archive of manuals of the Didactic Library (BLD-FEUSP).

FRANCE
- EMMANUELLE. Its origin lays in the Emmanuelle Research Project of the History of Education Section of the National Institute of Pedagogical Research (Institut National de Recherche Pédagogique –INRP). It contains national school textbooks.

CANADA (Ontario)
- MASCOFO. French-Ontarian school textbooks. Its origin lays in a Research Project of the Faculty of Education of the University of Ottawa.

CANADA (Québec)
MANSCOL. Its origin lays in the agreement created between the University Laval of Québec and the National Institute of Pedagogical Research (Institut National de Recherche Pédagogique –INRP). It included school textbooks produced in Québec.

Its origin lays in a project created by the Bibliographic Society of Canada. It includes Canadian school textbooks, except those of Québec.

INTERNATIONAL
BROTHERS OF THE CHRISTIAN SCHOOLS. The catalogue has been reconstructed by Paul Aubin. It includes more than 6.000 titles of manuals edited by the congregation in more than twenty countries.
