Target groups

The target groups are:

University history professors, researchers and students that will benefit:

1.  From the accessibility on the Internet Portal of a comprehensive collection of digital tools (Direct sources, manuals, e-learning materials, video collection etc.) for the study of history, that they will contribute to identify and evaluate and from the specific research engine that will allow to gather rapidly and efficiently sources and information related to a specific historical event or issue;

2.  From the availability of training packages and their direct experiencing through the testing of the Portal, of innovative methods:
– for history writing that exploits ICT potential for the creation of more interactive reconstruction and description of history events, based on the direct linking of sources and their interpretation
– for online cooperative and history writing, that enhances transnational circulation of information aimed at developing an European perspective of history;

3. From the knowledge sharing experience during which they will discuss with colleagues of other countries, through an effective use of ICT for the circulation and comparison of the information, in order to develop innovative methods for history analysis and writing based on the best existent practices at European level.
